316 BOWERY, NEW YORK, NEW YORK

2005-2014

First Stone Development’s landmark residential project, located on the southwest corner of Bowery and Bleecker Street is a 19th century brick building that features three full-floor, state of the art luxury loft condominium homes and a restaurant on the ground floor.

First constructed in 1818 as a hotel, 316 Bowery has been beautifully restored to its original grandeur, but with modern essentials. The lofts were gut renovated and converted to three spacious two-bedroom homes totaling more than 1,700 square feet each. The building’s façade was carefully restored and state-of-the-art six-foot windows were installed in adherence with precise historical guidelines.

The unique quality of this building’s renovation and restoration transcends the original construction and design. Our team worked carefully with the Landmarks Preservation Commission and historic preservation experts to ensure that this historic building stayed true to its original character.

Each condominium home features direct elevator access and open floor plans with 14-foot ceilings and hardwood floors. The kitchens offer state-of-the art Poliform cabinetry from Germany, Miele appliances and Bosch fixtures. The penthouse boasts a 500-square-foot private roof garden.

In a neighborhood thriving with new development and change, 316 Bowery stands out as a perfect blend of old and new. We are thrilled to have restored a piece of New York history, while incorporating elements of modern design and convenience.
